"I made money on cyborgs to conquer space": Ilya Cech, founder of Frontiers of Science, spoke about a new ecosystem of technological projects

Founder of the Frontiers of Science Guild Ilya Cech became a guest of the new edition of the podcast, in which he explained the challenges facing the organization, how to get involved in it, and why private investment in basic science is not philanthropy, but a conscious strategy.
Many people I know have a billion rubles, but I don't know many who have earned it through technology, except for the technology of money juggling.
Engineer, astrophysicist, billionaire, founder
of the company "Motorika" (known for the development of bionic prostheses) — today Ilya
The Czech focused on creating an ecosystem around space exploration.
Together with his team, he launched the Frontiers of Science Guild, a platform that unites
research teams, technology startups, venture investments, and even children
's educational contests.
In an interview with
Alexei Markov and Sasha Panov, an expert on space animators (CEO of Neiry), the Czech
talked about how he plans to make money from dark matter and
gravity research, while simultaneously creating a "huge clearing of space" — a space for
projects from school space competitions to adult science and technology
startups.
The Guild is positioned not as
a classical scientific foundation, but as an environment for development: here you can find
co-investors, a laboratory base, expertise and a community of like-minded people.
These areas include support for research on gravitational waves, technologies
for extracting water on the moon, non—invasive neural interfaces, and other projects at the intersection
of physics, biology, and engineering.
"What should I do if you're a billionaire
and you're still curious about how the universe works?" was the question the authors
of the issue addressed to their guest. The answer was the entire Frontiers of Science strategy:
to invest not in short-term benefits, but in the development of technologies that
will determine the human presence in space in decades.
According to Ilya Cech, the Guild
is open to participation, both for researchers with ambitious projects and
for entrepreneurs willing to support technological developments.
Details about current initiatives and ways of cooperation are available in
the organization's telegram channel and on the official website.
The full version of the conversation can
be viewed on the VK
