KRI results: Ilya Cech announced the launch of platforms for crowdinvesting and playtests in the OnlyGames ecosystem

Today, OnlyGames is already a comprehensive environment: it combines a digital games marketplace, a media publication, an esports platform, a streaming service, and a gaming exchange. However, for the full-fledged development of game development, an infrastructure is needed that covers the needs of teams at the early stages of product creation.
Speaking at KRI, Ilya Cech explained exactly how the ecosystem plans to close these gaps in the near future.
Crowdinvesting: from donations to real partnership
The main announcement was the imminent appearance of a platform for crowdinvesting game projects. The launch of the service is scheduled for August this year.
Unlike classic crowdfunding, where users donate money in exchange for a copy of the game or souvenirs, the new system offers a fundamentally different approach, borrowed from the field of technological entrepreneurship.
"When crowdinvesting, the user enters the project as a full-fledged co-investor. By investing, for example, a thousand rubles, the player gets the opportunity to claim a small share of the future profits of the game," said Ilya Cech.
For development studios, this is an opportunity to raise funds to create a game without having to look for a major publisher. At the same time, OnlyGames plans to take over the entire legal and organizational routine, making the investment registration process as simple and transparent as possible for both parties.
Playtest platform: feedback at any stage
The second important innovation will be a specialized service for testing games. According to the OnlyGames founder, the site is already in the final stages of internal testing and will open to developers in the coming weeks.
What will the playtest service do for developers?
Early access to the audience: you can upload materials at any stage of development — from the first concept art to playable alpha and beta builds.
Objectives: Studios will be able to create specific tasks for testers by checking certain mechanics or levels.
High-quality feedback: the platform will provide convenient collection and structuring of feedback for quick bug fixes and gameplay improvements.
A course towards "smart" content
The expansion of the toolkit is not just the addition of new features, but part of OnlyGames' global long—term strategy.
As Ilya Cech emphasized in his speech, one of the key tasks of the team is to shift the audience's focus from the same type of "timekillers" to deeper, more interesting and meaningful projects.
In the future, it is the creation of a convenient infrastructure for attracting investments and high-quality testing that will become a reliable foundation for the appearance of new Russian popular science, educational and story video games on the market.
